On March 28th, within the Latvian Education Fund special purpose program „For Education, Science and Culture”, JSC „Olainfarm” awarded Solomon Hiller scholarships. Keeping this tradition, the scholarships were awarded to pharmacy chemistry and synthesis of biologically active substances area students.

Scholarships are awarded on the competitive basis for one semester. By analysing results of the contest, the best students and Master students of Riga Technical University and Latvian University are selected. Expert commission has positively evaluated the competition applications of the following students: works of Elīna Erdmane, Gundars Leišs and Zigmārs Leišs from Chemistry faculty of Latvian University and the works registered for the contest by Andrejs Petuškovs and Jekaterina Petuškova – students of the Faculty of Materials Science and Applied Chemistry of Riga Technical University. Within the framework of Solomon Hiller scholarship JSC „Olainfarm” will pay a scholarship to the mentioned students in amount of 50 lats each month.

Support of young industry specialists is one of JSC „Olainfarm” main tasks. It is very important to obtain young and qualified specialists who are interested to have a professional career in this sphere, because lack of professionals in the chemical-pharmaceutical field is quite noticeable. Further more, the young professionals are those on whom the future of the whole field and JSC „Olainfarm” as well depends, therefore, the company is taking support  of the students rather seriously and is inviting young people to study and work in the chemical-pharmaceutical sphere. This is why in the end of March JSC „Olainfarm” is taking part in the career days ran by two universities where the students are introduced to the company and its activities. On March 22nd and 23rd the Career days have been organized by Riga Technical University. On March 31st the Students opportunities days of Stockholm School of Economics in Riga and Riga Graduate School of Law will take place eleventh year in turn. Career days are a great opportunity to inform and initiate dialogue with students concerning future perspectives within professional education they have received as well as to agree on possible cooperation in future.
